Afghanistan
Teaching people how to reduce transmission of the virus is vital. Thanks to your support we have adapted our mine risk education to include COVID-19 health messaging, reaching 20,000 people each month. We have also distributed essential food to families in short supply across Kabul.
Abkhazia
The risk of a COVID-19 outbreak remains high but we are ready to utilise our personnel and equipment to contribute to the local health response and help save lives. We have already been helping to raise awareness, provide transportation of health supplies and doctors, particularly to help improve access and information available to remote villages.
Cambodia
Thanks to funding from the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation we've been on the ground in Cambodia delivering food parcels and hygiene kits to vulnerable communities. We've also reached hundreds of thousands of people with COVID-19 health messaging.
Colombia
Your support has enabled us to protect the communities where we work by providing PPE and hygiene kits. For example, we have partnered with Comisaría de Familia (an organisation supporting victims of domestic violence) to provide PPE so they can continue their vital work.
Guinea Bissau
Our ambulance has been on the road supporting Médecins Sans Frontières as they work to carry out contact tracing in Guinea Bissau to help reduce the spread of infection.
Iraq
In Salah al-Din, water is in such short supply that families were forced to ration handwashing. 51ÁÔÆæ stepped in to supply additional water tankers to ensure everyone could practice good hygiene to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Kosovo
For some vulnerable groups, sheltering at home from COVID-19 is not an option. Our team in Kosovo has been supporting the charity Safe House and UNHCR Kosovo to ensure victims of domestic abuse and asylum seekers have a safe place to call home during the pandemic.
Laos
With your support we have reached over 4,500 people in Savannakhet, Laos, with vital health messaging to help families protect themselves from the pandemic.
Libya
In Libya, our teams combined working five hours a day in 40-degree heat clearing explosives with delivering COVID-19 health messaging to local communities to help families protect themselves from the virus.
Myanmar
We have partnered with UNOCHA to prevent COVID-19 spreading through crowded refugee camps and remote communities, reaching 37,000 people with essential hygiene kits. We are also transporting health teams to the many quarantine camps set up for returning migrants so they can ensure proper conditions are maintained.
Nagorno Karabakh
51ÁÔÆæ has been supporting the national health emergency. We have delivered PPE to local hospitals, fitted out our ambulances to carry COVID-19 patients and deployed our logistics capacity to deliver essential hygiene kits and health messaging to remote villages
Somaliland
Thanks to your support we have been able to deploy our ambulances to transport COVID-19 patients, construct a triage facility at the main hospital, manufacture PPE to protect medics and support with infection control at one of the key border-crossings from Ethiopia.
Syria
In Syria, we were able to work with our partners to accelerate the implementation of a project distributing food and hygiene items to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 as well as promoting hygiene messaging in the communities where we work.
Ukraine
With our partners, UNICEF, Red Cross Ukraine, Help Age and Mission Proliska, we’ve reached almost 175,000 people, teaching good hygiene practice to protect families from the pandemic as well as supplying activity packs to families self-isolating.
Zimbabwe
Our drivers have travelled thousands of kilometres across the country, delivering essential medical supplies to remote hospitals and clinics. We are drilling boreholes to ensure families have access to clean water for washing and have been supporting the government’s track and trace programme.
